![]() We'll be working on it so you can go upstairs in the school, actually hang out inside and outside of the Nasty Burger, have more places to discover characters just hanging around, and generally having more freedom. A better likeness to the show, more details integrated, more areas to explore. Now we're going in with Dreams software on the Ps4 and remaking them from the ground up. Will also allow hopefully allow for random encounters that the player can either win, lose, or run away from.ģ) New Background Art: When Gzone started out, the backgrounds were all done by him, in computer software, and were often limited to "approximating" the bulk of the backgrounds to their cartoon reference. We kinda did this with Kwan already to a lesser extent.Ģ) New combat system integration: Getting the game's old system ripped out like a wart at the roots and then replacing it with all the new mechanics and elements that Epadder worked on. As well as allow for characters that weren't in the game originally to exist, and we can all pretend like they really were always there. These new scenes will I think allow for the more subtle build of sexual tension or desires between characters. Great stuff." Also weaving in new quests/events for episodes lacking in numerous amounts of content or diverse in content. The script is very important to me that it sounds and feels right, a lot of this game's pull or interest has been people saying "Man, the game's content is pretty good so far, but the writing is actually really what keeps me coming back. Proofreading the whole game again and optimizing the language and writing choices we've since established. Here are the main things I think we can say we'll be attending to:ġ) Script changes: Altering some dialogue, changing certain interactions we had in the past, and retconning them or changing them to better suit the story we plan to tell. If we made a poll and had let's say 100 people taking part and out of those 100 let's say 10 people would say they like the game, despite not knowing Danny Phantom, that would be something you could work with.Īnd even then that might be slanted, because due to the way you phrase the question, you could get an unusually large number of people who like the game and didn't know the cartoon to participate in the poll.ĭude, that's great, if you like the game, but you got to understand, that means absolutely nothing statistically.Click to expand. There's literally I think 8 pages of bullet-pointed notes? We're going to have a sit down amongst the main team and go "Okay, I agree with this idea, I think this should come later, we can't do that currently within the budget, I don't think we should bother with that at all." Just breaking down the content workload into bite-sized pieces we can chew, and then divide it all up. However, empirically, even if a hundred people said the exact same thing, it would still not be a relevant number, compared to the complete number of players. For you, for the devs, because they want people to like it. This is basically anecdotal evidence, it is one person relating their personal experience, it has no relevance to the situation in general.Īnd that's not saying whether you like the game or not, doesn't matter, because like I wrote, it is great if you like the game. I'd prefer they didn't do it, and it does make little sense, considering the regular target audience for a parody game like this.Ĭlick to expand.Dude, that's great, if you like the game, but you got to understand, that means absolutely nothing statistically. I was worried after the change in style, now I am just fucking disappointed.Įdited to add: Don't get me wrong, that doesn't mean I'll boycott the game, but I'm not a fan of changing the old artwork to fit the new style. How could you think the people who want to play a game based on that show would want that? It makes no sense.Īnd to be frank again, you need people who want to play a game based on Danny Phantom, because WHO ELSE would even be interested in this game? It's your audience, and your audience wants the artwork to look like the show, not like the artist expressing themselves in their personal style. I wasn't a fan of the new look, but I accepted it, but I am not fine with the old content being completely replaced with the new style.Īnd frankly, if you make a game based on a cartoon AND your artwork perfectly fits the style of the animated series, only sexed up, to go and change the art style AWAY from that is already questionable, and to then go and replace the old artwork as well? Yeah, maybe the game will look more cohesive, but it also won't look like the show it is BASED on anymore. I can always accept when the art style changes, I'm not a fan, but I understand there are reasons, that make it necessary and it was like this here as well.
